Showing across 3 GalleriesEast End Arts Main St. Galleries & Westhampton Beach M&T GalleryJanuary 26 – March 1, 2024
The Annual Elizabeth Richard Memorial Members’ Show brings together a diverse group of artists within the East End Arts community who possess an array of skills and embrace a variety of styles. The result is a compelling exploration of a single theme.
The 2024 Annual Elizabeth Richard MemorialMembers’ Show ‘Well Red’ invites EEAMember artists of all disciplines to showcase a single piece that creatively depicts the varied significance of the color red in practical use, culture, history, feeling, message, or symbolism.
This year’s Members’ Show is inspired by Heart Month [February] and extends into the EEA satellite gallery location at the Westhampton Beach branch of M&T Bank. Select pieces will be on view at this venue during the exhibition and be featured in a Heart Month Awareness event held there.
A quick behind the scenes look at creating my entry for the East End Arts "well RED" member exhibit.
Using red, green and blue light to create colored shadows that project a heart shape echoing the heart.
My image "Filtered Light" is included in the Huntington Arts Council's "Flora & Fauna" exhibit.
The reception is tonight Friday February 10 from 5 to 7pm

I will be participating in the East End Art’s member show this January. The show features members reimagining a past cover from “Dan’s Paper’s”, which is the primary guide to the East End of Long Island. Primarily focusing on the South Fork and the Hampton’s.
I thank them for using my submission in this early announcement for the show.

Workshop Host
Eileen Novack - Member of fotofoto gallery in Huntington and East End Arts in Riverhead. Recent exhibitions at East End Arts Townhall gallery in December 2019, and upcoming in July at fotofoto. Currently selected for Heckscher Museums 2020 emerging artist series.
Eileen started in photography shooting film back when it was the only option, many years ago. She had a very extensive darkroom in her parents' home and spent many hours there honing her understanding of the craft. She was a commercial photographer, whose first client paid her with vegetables from their garden. Eileen did eventually find additional clients who did pay in non-vegetable currency. She also participated in a group show at a New York City gallery on 57th Street with work involving Kodachrome slide manipulation. When a fire destroyed most of her work in the late 80’s, she decided to pursue other career paths and spent the next twenty or so years in the software world and let her interest in photography fade. Retiring in 2012, she found a renewed interest in photography and started learning about this new digital imaging world and where she might fit in and to also have some fun.
